Hassler Elementary Gains TBEC Recognition

September 24, 2009

Spring, TX. Hassler Elementary School in the Klein ISD has made the Texas Business & Education Coalition (TBEC) Honor Roll for the year. Of the more than 8,000 Texas public schools, fewer than 4% make the Honor Roll. Hassler and other Honor Roll schools will be honored on November 9 with a reception and dinner in San Antonio sponsored by H-E-B and IBM.

To be named an Honor Roll school, the campus must demonstrate three years of consistent, high performance in all subjects tested on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) compared to other schools serving similar student populations. TBEC Honor Rolls schools have the highest percentage of students performing at the state’s most rigorous standard, commended in every subject tested by the TAKS.

Ms. Carol Randall is the principal of Hassler Elementary School.

The Klein ISD is located in north Harris County and has more than 43,527 students in its twenty-six (26) elementary, eight (8) intermediate, and four (4) high schools. Visit the district’s Web site at for additional information about the Klein Independent School District.
