Spring, Texas, November 4, 2012. The Klein Collins Cross Country and Track and Field Programs are pleased to announce that the 5th annual Junior Tiger Fun Run will take place on January 26, 2013. The successful event that benefits KCHS’ track and field and cross country programs is bringing a new twist to the fun run this year—a 3K for Moms and Dads!

“Each year the Fun Run has been growing in participation,” said Booster Club President, Greg Miller, “even drawing runners from across the state”.

“As with previous years, the fun run will feature three mixed races for girls and boys in K – 2nd, 3rd – 4th, and 5th – 6th Grades. However, this year we are giving mom and dad a chance to get in on the action, said Fun Run Director, David Windsor”. A fourth race will be added, the parents 3K. Medals will be awarded to the top five males and top five females in each race”.

The event will take place on January 26, 2013 at Klein Collins High School Track. Registration is now open online at http://www.kcxctrack.com. Cost is $15 children and $20 adults, and $20/$25 for late and race day. The first 150 runners registering for the event will receive a free T-shirt and goodie bag. All proceeds from the Fun Run benefit the Klein Collins boys and girls Cross Country and Track Programs.

ANNOUNCING SPRING-KLEIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

2ND ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN JULY GALA

The Chamber’s vision is to be the primary resource and support of area economic development and quality of life. Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce’s (SKCC) annual fundraiser, The Gala Dinner and Auction, helps make that vision a reality.

The Christmas in July Gala is the premier social event of the season in Spring-Klein and is a festive evening of philanthropy, fine food, and fun, and a celebration of SKCC’s commitment to excellence and community. Imagine!–a gala dinner and auction–is SKCC’s largest fundraiser. It is always a sell-out.

Rejoice with us and take pleasure in a sumptuous evening basking in the festively adorned Shady Oaks, feasting on a sumptuous buffet featuring traditional Christmas Carvery, dancing to the live music from Braid. Enjoy the witty, yet encouraging words of Commissioner Jerry Eversole, and be a part of history as we recognize Spring-Klein’s first Business of the Year with the presentation of the “TONI” Award.

Businesses and individuals donate generously to the live auction hosted by the funny and charming Mark Moore, TAL#15019 offering an array of special experiences- trips, dinners, and unique events and items. On auction night, 150 attendees—dressed to the nines—engage in friendly competitive bidding. The event is conceived and run by an extraordinary cadre of volunteers whose dedicated support for the Chamber’s business, education programs infuses the evening with a wonderful spirit of philanthropy and community.

Mark your calendar for July 24. Host a table, bring your friends, and get your seats early!
