Nominate Your Favorites in the Best of Spring-Klein Contest – Best Happy Hour

    January 7, 2010

Spring, Texas. ExploreSpring.com is dedicated to Putting Everything Spring at Your Fingertips! In an effort to meet that objective, ExploreSpring.com wants to know what bar or nightclub offers the best Happy Hour in the Spring-Klein area. Over the next 52 week’s we will take nominations each week and then vote on the Top 10 the following week to find the Best of Spring-Klein as determined by the ExploreSpring.com readers.

To kick off the Best of Spring-Klein we decided to find out where you go to relax after work. Do you have a favorite local spot that offers a great happy hour? If so, Nominate them right here, by the 8 am on Friday, Jan. 15 and be sure tell us why you like them.  Try and get at least 3 separate nominations to enhance your chances of being included in the Top 10.

Then by 8am Monday morning, you will be able to vote for your favorites if they made the top 10 list. You may vote only once in each category (we can tell if you try to stuff the ballot box) until Midnight, Friday Jan 22. Let’s keep it fair: No voting for a place because you think the shop owner is hot or because your parents own the place. I’ll tally the votes and announce the winners on Jan 25. Each week we will open up nominations for a new category and continue the process until the end of 2010. All winners will be features on the Best of Spring-Klein web site, have a logo to embed on their site recognizing them for their accomplishment and be included in the Best of 2010 magazine to be released at the beginning of 2011. More information will be release on it next month.

Spring Texas News Updates April 1, 2009

    April 1, 2009
The Riddle Report March 31, 2009

    Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It took much longer than any of us anticipated, but the House is finally on a regular schedule, hearing bills every day on the floor. It seems every session we feel like we are behind the expected pace, yet we always seem to catch up. The real question is this: is it a good thing or a bad thing if we pass less legislation than normal? On the one hand, fewer laws usually means less intrusive government. On the other hand, good bills and bad bills both tend to die when we fall behind. Like my mother always told me: “There’s no piece of pie sliced so thin that it doesn’t have two sides!”

    Spring ISD Kindergarten Roundup Schedule

HOUSTON – Spring ISD elementary schools will hold Kindergarten Roundup in April and May for children who will begin kindergarten in the 2009-10 school year.
Kindergarten in Spring ISD is a full-day program for children who will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2009. Registration for kindergarten is voluntary, but once a child enrolls for kindergarten, he or she becomes subject to the compulsory attendance law. That law requires a student to be in attendance at least 90 percent of the days that school is in session in order to receive credit.

    New Advertising Opportunity with ExploreSpring.com

    January 4, 2009

Each month ExploreSpring has monthly online photo contests in which businesses sponsor prizes and receive advertising on our web site. We are looking for businesses to donate small items to be included in an ExploreSpring.com gift basket as a monthly prize for either new registrants and/or contest winners.  We would like to have 12 -24 items from each business represented, so that we may give out at least 2 gift baskets per month to ExploreSpring.com members. You may include a business card and/or label on your donated item to promote your business. As we build these baskets, we will provide a list on the Photo Contest website of businesses that have donated items to the basket. If you would like to donate an item to the gift basket please contact Elle via email, telephone (281) 912-1107 or mail to ExploreSpring.com, 1010 Spring-Cypress Rd, #133, Spring, TX 77373. A minimum of 12 items is required. We will begin working on these immediately so if you are interested, please let us know.
