Event Summary:

Calling all track and field enthusiasts and youth runners, jumpers & throwers, you are invited to attend. The 3rd Annual Texas Stallions Relays promises to be a fun and exciting event with over 500 youth athletes competing in 3 relays, 8 open running events and 5 field events. New this year we are offering Open/Master 200m Dash, events for the 6 & under as well as continuing the Parent/Coaches 4 x 100M Relay. The meet will be Fully Automatically Timed (FAT) and is open to the community.

Competition takes place in 12 age divisions—4 & Under (Pee Wee), 5/6 Year (Munchkin), 7/8 Year (Primary), 9 Year (Sub-Bantam), 10 Year (Bantam), 11 Year (Sub-Midget), 12 Year (Midget), 13 Year (Sub-Youth), 14 Year (Youth), 15/16 Year (Intermediate), 17/18 Year (Young), and Open/Masters for 20 and up. Awards will be given to the top six participants in each event. This event is sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U. S., Inc. Volunteer & Sponsorship Opportunities available.

Registration: Pre-Registration available online until 3/27/14 and on-site registration available at 7:00 am, Morning of Event.

Cost: Spectators and Athletes $6 per person. 5& Under nonparticipants Free.

Texas Stallions Track ClubSPRING – (November 27, 2012) – The Texas Stallions Track Club will host information meeting for its youth outdoor track and field season on February 7, 2013, at 6 p.m. in the B. F. Clark Community Building at Southwell Park, located at 27419 Nelson St, Spring, Texas 77373. Light refreshments and registration begin at 5:45 p.m. Prospective athletes and their parents will receive an overview of the sport, team philosophies, and the season may. There will also be an opportunity to visit with the coaches and obtain information and have your questions answered about participating in the Spring/Summer season of track and field.

The Stallions is a youth track and field program that develops youth runners, jumpers, and throwers and emphasizes the importance of fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and living a life of “Dedication, Determination and Discipline”!  The Stallions offers youth athlete ages 6 – 18 the opportunity to learn about and train in different events in track and field and provides the opportunity to compete on a local, regional and national level.

Register Now for Youth Cross Country with Texas Stallions Track Club

youth cross countrySpring, TX – (August 7, 2011) Directors of the Texas Stallions Track Club announced plans for its 2011 Cross Country Season, which will kick-off on August 29 in training for the 2011 USATF Gulf Association Cross Country Championship in  November.

“This is the Stallions first time venturing into cross country”, said Coach Lavoxkeia Carnes, “but we hope to continue to educate our youth on the importance of fitness and how running can help them achieve their goals”.

Registration is now open for Texas Stallions Track Club Fall Running Program and can be completed online at www.texasstallions.org. The Stallions Cross Country program is targeted toward youth ages 6 – 11, but open to youth up to age 18. For more information, call (832) 415-0568. Registration ends on October 10, 2011 and is limited to 50 participants, so
register early!

Join us and go running with your friends. This team running program is aimed at getting kids outside and into a healthy environment, with practices two-three times a week and two meets per month on Sunday afternoons. Distances will be appropriate for the age of the runner.  Registration is on a
first come, first served basis, and all age divisions have limited space. The registration deadline is September 19. Late registrations may be accepted until October 10, 2011 based on availability. The Club cannot guarantee entry into program for registrations received after the deadline. Register online and get more information at www.texasstallions.org. The first practice will be on August 29, 2011.

The Club is also seeking volunteer coaches for its Youth Cross Country and Track and Field Programs. The Texas Stallions Track Club certifies all coaches through the USA Track and Field Association. Background checks will be conducted. See the coach for details, or call 832-415-0568.

Local Track Club is off to a Great Start!

The Spring-Klein based Texas Stallions have good start to summer track season.

 

Spring, TX, May 3, 2009. – Nineteen local athletes were involved in their first meets of the Season—Houston Heat meet held on April 25 and Houston Pacesetter meet held on May 2. Though the Stallions season got off to a late start, their season start shows lots of promise for the coming months.

The Stallions first meet of the season was a USA Track & Field, Inc. (USATF) sanctioned event held by the Houston Heat at Dekaney High School with a variety of track and field events for youth 5 – 19 years old. Ten boys and six girls took part in events that were held by age groups: Primary (5-8), Bantam (9-10), 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18. Awards were given for the top-six finishers in each age group, except the primary division received awards for the top-six finishers in each heat. In all the stallions took home four top-six finishes.

The top-six finishers were: Ahmad Cummings, a primary boy, who took 6th place in the 400m with a time of 1:59 in his heats. Lavoxkeia Carnes a primary girl who to 2nd in her heat in the 100m with a time of 16.81 and was the 5th place overall winner in the 100m and 4th in the 400m with a time of 1:21.76. Jarius Chevalier an intermediate boy took 4th place in the 1500m with a time of 6:26.

In their second meet the Texas Stallions participated in an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned event held by the Houston Pace Setters at Aldine High School, Bill Smith Stadium. Awards were given for the top-six finishers in each age group. In all the stallions took home seven top-six finishes.

The top-six finishers were: Lavoxkeia Carnes a primary girl who took 3rd place in the 100m with a time of 16.72 seconds and 2nd place in the 400m with a time of 1:16. Christopher Ward a bantam boy was 5th in the 1500m with a time of 6:16.96. LaMika LaFrance took 4th place in the midget girls 100m with a time of 14.8 and 2nd place in the 200m with at time of 29.53. Youth boys Alexander Brooks took 2nd place in the 1500m with at time of 5:18.70 and Anthony Grant took 4th place in the shot put with a throw of 10’ 4”.

The Stallions can be seen next Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the USATF Sanctioned event held by the Northwest Flyers. The meet will be held at Klein Memorial Stadium, 16503 Stuebner Airline Road, Spring, TX 77379 at 8:30 am. The Texas Stallions Stable consists of Adam White, Ahmad Cummings, Alexander Brooks, Anthony Grant, Audreanecia Hagan, Brittany Collins, Christopher Collins, Christopher Ward, Hunter Cork, Jarius Chevalier, Jonathan Carnes, Kaleb Bryant, Kaylan Harris, LaKayla LaFrance, LaMika LaFrance, Lavoxkeia Carnes, and Zhanna Brooks.

A youth Track and Field Club, the Texas Stallions are based in Spring Texas. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at Klein Oak High School and Klein Collins High School respectively.
